Why it didn't work when you tried dressing like the cool girl

Dressing like the cool girl or cool woman.
I have heard many people say they have tried to dress like another person or with an aesthetic they find cool and have not liked it on themselves.
From an advocate in the belief that, you should "be yourself". That doesn’t mean don’t try anything new, everyone has many sides to them. Finding a way to express them takes time.
Trying to find what resonates with you is the better route, rather than what resonates with/suits others. Unless of course you and another person have a common interest.

Have you ever tried dressing with what you think is "a cool vibe" and it didn't quite feel like you. That’s because you haven't quite tried “what feels like you" yet and you are just yet to find out what truly suits you from the inside out vs just trying on outfits to dress from the outside. e.g (what you've seen on others or somewhere).
Example of what dressing from the inside out can look like and feel like:
Buying a skirt and thinking "I like this because it balances my hips"
This is more of an inside belief that is personally true to you making the skirt something that you like with a positive feeling and belief attached to it.
Whereas just trying on clothes that look cool on others can be a soulless/meaningless experience and can trigger negative thoughts and wearing experiences.
Below are some cool style images
and
also a write up of the soul experience when dressing.
As you can see we want to have a positive experience where we like what we wear and it is something we actually want to make the decision to wear, so we can feel good from inside out and not have outfit waste.
